ST Sikh Historical Tradition
The visit is recorded in Sikh historical and traditional sources such as janamsakhis or Bhai Gurdas. This is presented as tradition, not as independently proven fact.
Story
A Kashmir association is better rooted in Sikh memory than many Himalayan speculations, yet still presented as Sikh historical tradition rather than a Mughal gazetteer entry.
The Sakhi
According to Sikh tradition, Guru Nanak Dev Ji taught in the valley. Later local shrine stories should be checked against sources; this record does not inventory every later gurdwara claim.
Teaching
The north journey tradition stresses that mountains and ashrams do not monopolise truth.
